Yeah, on Windows, you can install the Linux Subsystem if you want to execute Bash scripts, for example. Therefore, we can run almost all the commands we know from Linux machines. The Mac operating system is based on Unix. Maybe not that customizable like Linux, but rather something normally-gifted people could use without problems. On the MacBook, on the other hand, typing for long hours doesn’t get too exhausting. Using my mechanical keyboard back then often led to pain when using it for a couple of hours. Yet, you get used to it quickly and start to appreciate it. Many were overwhelmed with the little amount of pressure needed for pressing a key at first. Cleaning it is easy too (my hands sweat a lot lol). It is super precise, feels elegant, and the keys are easy to press. Yet, things are now much better in the second or third generation. Admittedly, the first generation of this keyboard technology was pretty infamous due to its not existing resistance to dirt and dust. The generation of my MacBook already had the second or third version of Apple’s butterfly-keyboard. Well, I loved it up to this point, when I switched to a MacBook. As input devices served a mechanical keyboard, on which I spend a ridiculous amount of 170 dollars. A keyboard that is just rightģ years before I bought my MacBook, I built my first Windows PC. I finally understood why so many developers like the MacBook. Buying this expensive piece of tech was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Now, after 2.5 years of using it, I don’t regret anything. You can imagine how intensively I thought about this decision. It took me more than a year to save up for it.
